Steps to send a large file
- 01
Choose your files
Open TransferSize and select Choose files. Use Choose a folder if you want to keep a folder's layout.
- 02
Check the list
Make sure the right files are there, then select Continue.
- 03
Choose link or email
Create a link if you want to share it yourself. Choose Send by email if TransferSize should email the recipient.
- 04
Add only the options you need
You can add a title, message, password, expiry date, preview, or download limit.
- 05
Wait for Transfer ready
Keep this page open. Copy the link only after Transfer ready appears.
The recipient opens the transfer link in a browser, enters the password if one was set, previews supported files when enabled, and downloads without creating an account.
A few things that matter
How long will it take?
Your upload speed matters most. A 50 GB file takes about 5.5 hours at 20 Mbps or about 1.1 hours at 100 Mbps, before overhead.
Check the link
For an important send, open the finished link in a private window. Check the file list, password, and expiry date.
Keep the original
Do not delete your copy until the recipient says the files open correctly.
